Workers’ Right Workers’ Right

The tea sector does not only provide livelihood for farmers who own farms. Tea cultivation is a labor-intensive activity that employs so many people to produce the finest tea. In downstream industry, processing and packing of bulk tea (black and green) require many labors.

These workers also have equal rights to thrive and have a decent life, and to work in a safe and healthy environment. However, their rights are sometimes neglected.

We encourage farmers and downstream tea businesses to create healthy and safe working conditions, among others by providing workers’ rights and implementing policies that respect human rights and support diversity.
